Caffeine Withdrawal!

Gaaaaahhhhh! The caffeine withdrawal headache has started. I did have some pop around 11am today. Usually I have a full Mt. Dew between 11 and 12  but today I had half of one between 11 and 1. It’s a muted headache and not as bad as it would be if I just up and quit pop. It’s enough to distract me but it isn’t all that painful right now.

I’ve quit pop before and I have a pretty decent system so I don’t have any effects of caffeine withdrawal but I really want to get busy cutting my sugar intake so I’m stepping it up a bit.

Normally I would have a full pop for the first two days but spread it out over several hours. Let’s say I’d start drinking it at 11am and finish around 2pm. Then I’d cut back to half a pop and spread that out over the same hours. After a couple days of that I can cut pop out of my diet completely and suffer no ill effects.

So why am I stepping it up? Well like I said, for one I want to cut sugar out of my diet now. Another reason is I only have two cans of Mt. Dew left (one now) and I don’t want to end up buying another 12 pack and be tempted by what is left in the fridge when I’m done cutting it out of my diet..
