I was reading an article on MSN about outdated fitness rules and noticed something they suggested to do instead of sit ups / crunches. I’ve always called them leg lifts but they called them something else.

Basically you lay on your back with your legs up and bent at a 90 degree angle and your arms above you head on the floor. You will kind of look like a chair that has fallen over. Then you raise your arms toward your feet and straighten your feet towards your arms in a V shape. Hold for one second, do 8 to 10 reps.

I think I might add this, along with jump rope, to a nightly (or morning?) exercise routine.
