Cut Calories For Weight Loss

Yahoo! had a nice article for those people looking to lose weight. The jist of the article is that to lose weight you really need to cut your calorie intake and increase your calorie burn. The study compared diets similar to the popular diets out there now and found that the biggest factor in losing weight was the amount of calories coming in and going out. It also seems that some of the more successful participants in the study did what I’m doing on this blog…they kept track of their calories and food intake.

The only thing I wish that the article had stressed more was the importance of eating healthy. Perhaps the study the article refers to, which is in Thursday’s New England Journal of Medicine, talks more about it.
