Well mom had her gall bladder surgery last Thursday and is fine. The surgery took no time at all actually. We arrived at the hospital at around noon. She went into the surgery prep at around 12:30 or so. Then we waited until 2:30ish for the surgery to start.
At that point neither me nor moms boyfriend had had anything to eat so we went to the hospital cafeteria to grab some lunch. When we got back about 30 minutes later the surgery was done. Complete. Fin! I thought it would take like an hour or two but it was over before I could blink it seemed like!
It’s ok though. They made up for the quick surgery with the long recovery time. We didn’t head out of the hospital until around 6:00.
Mom is doing well. She is still sore but that’s to be expected. And she is stuck on the extremely low fat diet for the next week and a half..
