My name is Rick, aka Jhet Bhlak. I'm starting this blog because I've recently realized that I'm getting older and gaining weight. Now I'm not all that old or anything (mid 30's as of writing this) but still I'm older than I think of myself as. And I must admit that I'm really not what anyone would consider…fat. As a matter of fact if anyone I know finds this they are going to have a good laugh. So I'm in my mid 30's as I said and about 5' 8", weighing around 145 (??) pounds. As you can tell, my weight gain is of tragic proportions. But seriously I am getting a spare tire from lack of exercise and my eating habits as of late. What I want to do with this blog is to document my thoughts and the process of trying to lose about ten pounds. Really the weight isn't an issue for me. It's the extra inch around the waist that I want to get rid of. If at the end of this ordeal I haven't lost a pound but have lost the flab I'll be happy. Be forewarned. I write in a melodramatic and exaggerated style. Things can get a bit…overdone…with my writing. If you take everything I write as half as serious as it is written, you are probably taking it twice as serious as you should! You have been warned
That being said, I will try and keep the fact as accurate as possible. In other words, if I say I've lost one pound or I've had 1900 calories today it is probably true. If I say I've bought a product or service it is probably true but it also might just be an advertisement. On a final note, I am not a doctor, lawyer or an advice columnist and have no discernable, useful or practical knowledge to share. Anything I say on here is not meant to be advice or a guide as to what you should do! Do not follow what I do on my blog.
